CONSCIOUS CONTRIBUTION VOL. 4
Three years since the last release, Volume 4 of the Conscious Contribution mix series has finally manifested itself and in turn taken on a whole new dimension. These mixes have always been more therapeutic and introspective than a technical showcase of me as a DJ. Like chapters in a book, each song is carefully selected to contribute to a bigger, more dynamic picture. I’m incredibly excited to share with you how this process has evolved into both an audio and visual experience.
The Conscious Contribution Vol. 4 video project was created during the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic lock down here in Canada which presented an interesting perspective and challenge. It utilizes thousands of individual video clips, graphic and custom animations stitched together to create a dynamic 1.5 hour visual experience.
This mix spans numerous musical genres and doesn’t abide to any standard tempo. It contains many powerful songs from some of the world’s most prolific producers, as well as a few of my very own personal remixes. It travels through love, fear, loss, pain, growth and revelation. It’s about the duality of life. Both sides of the coin and the journey of moving through them.
